Looks like my last post was April 2011, which is absolutely extraordinary! I've been doing well enough on Etsy, and very much enjoying it, but now I am making an effort to take it a little more seriously and start doing projects that I really enjoy and need to get out of my system! So hopefully, coming soon will be a new shop with it's own url, moving away from the embossing and focusing more on handmade paper, handbound books, and even some screenprinted t-shirt designs. It will be less Oirish, but definitely still Irish, as no doubt the wild west coast here in Connemara is a huge part of my life and so must influence my creativity, such as it is!
But Paperpennies will continue to fend for itself, as it has been doing these past few months, and will be the base line for my new experiments in slightly-less-amateur crafting! Here's a printscreen of Paperpennies on Etsy, today :)

Avalanche of Embossed Cards!
It means listings may be a little monotonous for a while, but I'll feel better, in that princess and the pea way!, knowing that I have given them a good shot. I like these cards, they are certainly simple, but I worked hard on the images and they mean a lot to me as my first cards - the first things I'd admitted to making much less trying to sell! I'm planning to list every second day, which is still a world away from what I was doing, totally ad hoc, but still isn't setting myself up to fail :p

No. 3: Traditional Dry Stone Wall

This was the simplest drawing so far, and does it show? Is it enough? Although there are only so many ways to do a line drawing of a bunch of rocks piled on top of each other!

Step 2: Refined

Because in fact the trees out here in Connemara have a really distinctive shape, hunched away from the winds off the sea...and I think this is a closer match to that shape.
The funky shadowy lines, however, I can't pretend have any artistic relevence - they are left behind by my wrinkly tracing paper and cheap scanner! Modern technology my tóin!
