Treasury!!!!

http://www.etsy.com/treasury_list.php?room_id=130006

Yay!!!!
Although I'm often surprised at the pieces that are chosen (all what, 2 times now?!) - in this case it's one of the mother's day Flower cards, in an Irish treasury full of celtic knots and swirls...hmm!

New Idea, New Listing

The blank cards seem popular, and the simple celticy things seem popular, so voila...and the colours are lovely :)

In the works...

I am exhausted! There is a lot going on right now, and neither me or my cards are a priority. Still though, I have managed to get a little work done on an idea that has been niggling away at me - phonetic cards.
Questions include: what script to use? Colour? Paper/card? How much to say about the phonetics, the real spelling, the translation? Where to put all of this?
Well?!
Yes, it hasn't been easy. I have drawn up a script of my own, I wanted it to be more fun than the celtic script but still have some echoes of it in it...hmm. Not sure! As to ALL of the other questions, I am completely on the fence!

St. Pat's day cards #3!

I know, once I was booted onto the St. Patrick's Day bandwagon I went wild for it! Here's a third option, that I did up on a whim seeing as I have had that knot drawn up and scanned for ages now...

St. Patrick's Day Card #2

This one took a little more 'thinking', and drawing up the knotwork was a bit difficult. I thought I HAD it but the embossing does muddy up some of the finer details (fun game, see if you can spot where...!) (Please don't!) I'll see if I can give it a bit of a touch up.
Also, curses, this paper I'm using has a smooth and a rough side...and I never know which I prefer for images and embossing...In these cards the textured side of the white card shows as the second panel of the flag, which works well as it leaves the writing side inside smooth. My mistake was in having the green smooth side out - what possessed me? I'll definitely try changing it next time.

But I do like this idea, of the tricolor...Yep, I think I probably definitely do.

Celtic Heart Valentine's Card

Agh, but this is a bugger to emboss! The finished product seen above is the last of a long line of Attempts, all previous of which were rejected...and, sshhh, this one would be too if I had ANY patience left - maybe you heard the shriek of disbelief and despair when I finally finished the embossing and folded it over and realised the image had been printed OFF CENTRE!!!! Nooooooo-oooooo! But I couldn't start again. Again. So I chopped off the edge of the card, artistically leaving a strip of the vibrant red inner paper to set off the bright white outer card :)

Celtic Knots

I have been wondering how to make the cards 'nicer', now that Christmas is over and I no longer have the excuse of lovely gold/silver embossed tinsel and stars and what not...and thought of celtic knot suns (gold) and moons (silver).
Here's some sketches - they are actually good fun, and suit my kinda OCD grĂ¡ for niggly precision and symmetry. Alas, embossing does not suit them - you can't make out the over and underlapping. Needs more work.
